Beetle packages finish shipping + Pearl/Volleyball update

Just popping in to let y’all know that the last of the beetles packages are going out Saturday! If you haven’t received tracking yet, chances are yours is among them. :) 

Also I finally reached a settlement with my manufacturer regarding Pearl and Volleyball - we were in a bit of a protracted argument where they were asking for more money and refusing to do the remakes unfortunately, which meant me getting ghosted for a few weeks (they also went on vacation without telling me) but I’ve finally managed to talk it out with them!! They promise to correct the color this time around so I’m really hoping it works out and we can finally get back on track. I will update you all with news as soon as I get it.  There are about 75 orders left containing the remake pins/keychain - I have set aside the best quality stock already of all the pins for each of those pledges so that I have enough for them, rest assured!

Beetles begin going out this weekend!! Hurrah!! Not so hurrah: I’m still negotiating with the manufacturer on Pearl and Volleyball. There’s been some pushback from them recently on the whole color issue and I’m attempting to sort things out with them amicably as they still have the products. I’ll make sure things work out either way!

Update on Pearl&Volleyball/Beetles

Hey y'all! Thanks so much again for sticking this out with me so far. I have some news regarding the last held up pins since a few people have asked about them and it's about time for an update!

1. Beetles are nearly done and on their way to me

The beetles will ship to me very soon as they will be done in the next two weeks! I've confirmed with my first manufacturer that production is finishing up and so those orders will be able to go out soon!

2. Pearl and Volleyball and color

Here's where it gets a little difficult. I've mentioned this before, but the translucent color on these pins hasn't been quite right. I've had 10 or more samples for Pearl and Volleyball made to try and get the factory to the correct color. And they achieved it....but somehow couldn't replicate it for production once it was approved. I am once again trying to get them to reproduce the color they once made which they seem to be finding difficult. 

Nevertheless, I intend to approve a final version in the next two weeks so I can get the pins to you. The lack of communication with this manufacturer and slip ups have severely altered and delayed this process, and I know it's caused a lot of stress all around for both you and me. So whatever happens, Pearl and Volleyball will go into production and they will be sent to you the following month. 

I really appreciate your patience again and I hope we can finish strong. I know it's been a long time - but I also am absolutely doing as much as I can to perfect these products instead of just accepting something subpar. I hope you understand that I am committed 100% to making these as good as they can be! 
I also implore you to remember that the COVID shutdown did in fact happen and it did affect this manufacturer to the point where this back and forth has been going on for at least 6 months after reopening - with regular periods where there was just complete lack of communication from them . I promise I'm not willfully just ignoring the production of these pins and I am pushing every day for a response, even if I don't always get one. I know it may seem like nothing is happening, but behind the scenes, there's a lot of effort being put in! I'm between a rock and a hard place and I'm trying to make the most of it and compromise as much as possible to get things done.

Covid negative! Packages were sent + some more info on remakes

Hey all! As the headline says, I am now COVID negative!! Hooray!! I just wanted to stop in cause it's been a while since the last update.

1. All packages that were being held are with USPS now

This means that if your order didn't contain any of the remade pins or the Lapis keychain, your order is on its way to you! So exciting! You will receive tracking once it's been scanned in by a postal worker. The packages were dropped off earlier this week, so it should be anytime now - if there's no notice by the following week, please feel free to let me know!

2. All remade pins will receive both versions

That might be a bit confusing, but what it means is that because Pearl/Volleyball and Heaven/Earth had previous versions that were unsatisfactory in design but fine in quality, everyone who ordered those pins will receive BOTH VERSIONS. So for example, if you ordered Pearl, you will get both the old and the new one. I figure there will be some people who like the old versions more, so it just makes sense to me to give both since they were funded.

3. Pins are still in production, some quality issues

For the beetles, I encountered some quality issues with the factory so I am having a number of them redone, which fortunately shouldn't take too long now that they've already been in production a while and the problems have been addressed. I'm still trying to wrangle answers from my other manufacturer who is ghosting me then answering once every two weeks so you can imagine that I'm very frustrated with them right now. I had to correct a few mistakes that they made but I believe it's solved now - I know that they have product that's in production so once I can get an answer, I'm going to see if I can get things shipped ASAP. 

So sorry everyone for the delays but things are in motion again! Hope those of you who are receiving the pins enjoy them! As always, my inbox and the comment sections are open for questions.
